The Kia GT4 Stinger Concept was unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The Korean automaker recently released a set of official images of this sports car. Lets take a look at car’s exterior and interior design.
Design of 2014 Kia GT4 Stinger
One of the recently released photos shows the front view of the 2014 Kia GT4 Stinger Concept model. As you can see above, it has a large front grille with big non-traditional LED headlights that glow a soft white. The Korean manufacturer likes to call this grille the “Tiger Nose”.
The front diffuser is made from carbon fiber materials and mounted below the front bumper. There are big 20-inch wheels and brake cooling vents.
At the back of the 2014 Kia GT4 Stinger, the space between the C-shaped LED taillights and around them is designed in glossy black finish.
The bumper is colored in ignition yellow shades, just like the rest of the car. Below it is a small air diffuser made from carbon fiber, and two exhaust tailpipes at each side.
We like what the design team did with this sports car, guys over at California’s Kia Irvine studio really did a great job.
As you can see on the image above, the interior of the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept is made in the sports style. There are two leather-covered front racing seats. In front of a driver is a flat-bottomed steering wheel and aluminium pedals. Notice that the floor is not carpeted, but covered with rubber.
GT4 Stinger Engine and Performance
Not much has been revealed about the performance of the Kia GT4 Stinger, but what we do know is that it will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged GDi engine that will be able to develop total of 315 horsepower.
This engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The car will have a rear-wheel drive.
I added some new photos of the 2014 Kia GT4 Stinger taken by Drew Phillips at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Check them in the gallery below.
