The 2016 Peugeot 208 received a great new appearance. Every single part of it has been revamped and improved so that the newcomer basically doesn’t have an area that has been neglected. Exterior and Interior Design

Since the vehicle was first launched, it has always been characterized as an urban hatchback with a rich personality, perfectly harmonious with the values of the brand. The lines of the 2016 Peugeot 208 are sporty and chick at the same time, it is wider and more dynamic, having a contemporary, energetic and conspicuous style. The redesigned front bumper gives the vehicle a more precise, sharper and muscular appearance. The vehicle also has a redesigned bumper-integrated grille, which now appears to be wider. Higher trim levels get stamped chrome finisher on the brand-new “Equalizer” grille which gives the impression of 3D effect. Together with the separate front fog lights, the car gets a new identity that immediately invites you to take the steering wheel. It also has redesigned two-tone headlights with chrome and black masks for the lamp that ensure a sharp look. The customers will be offered several wheel options including 15-inch Niobium, 17-inch Carbone and 16-inch Titane alloy wheels.

The interior design of Peugeot vehicles has been warmly received by the customers in the past, and that is the case with the interior design of the new 2016 Peugeot 208. Its interior represents an innovative combination of controls and instruments. The cabin is equipped with compact steering wheel, which perfectly fits in the compact cabin itself, making the vehicle super-easy to handle in cities, ensuring a real driving pleasure. Higher trim levels get a steering wheel wrapped in full-grain leather. The cabin of the newcomer is also equipped with 7-inch touch screen that provides easy access to all systems including GPS navigation, audio and internet, Bluetooth and USB connectivity and much more.

Engine Lineup, Performance, Specs

The company provides a wide range of diesel and petrol engines for its potential customers. The customers will be offered a lineup of 1.6L BlueHDi diesel engines producing 75 hp and 100 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual and returning 94.1 mpg (about 3L per 100 km), and a 1.6L BlueHDi producing 120 horsepower, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, emitting only 94 g/km of CO2. When it comes to petrol engines, the 2016 Peugeot 208 comes with the 1.0L and 1.2L PureTech Inline-3 engines generating 68 hp and 82 hp, and a new 1.2-liter PureTech unit producing 110 horsepower. The most powerful engine options will be a 1.6L THP which enables you to get the maximum output of 165 hp and 208 horses. The new six-speed EAT6 automatic transmission with Quickshift technology is now available with the 1.2L PureTech engine.

2016 Peugeot 208 Prices

The new 208 hatchback is available in several variants. The 2016 Peugeot 208 Access A/C is a base variant and its price starts at £12,295. The Active and Allure models are available for £13,095 and £14,795, while the most expensive GT Line models is priced at £16,695.
