The 2016 Ford F-150 Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 is a modification of the latest F-150 pickup truck done by Hennessey. They have done exterior changes and performance upgrades, making it better looking and more powerful.
Exterior and Interior Design, Changes
The 2016 Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 is based on the 2016 Ford F-150 Crew Cab model. Hennessey replaced the front and rear bumpers with a new set of off-road steel bumpers, the front coming with a winch and driving lights. Other exterior upgrades include: step pockets and lift points on the back, retractable bed-side steps, Fox Racing suspension, all-new 20-inch wheels wrapped in street and off-road tires, surrounded by black fender flares, LED headlights and taillights, LED light bar, and yellow paint with VelociRaptor and Hennessey exterior badging and graphics.
Inside, not much has changed. Hennessey just made exterior body changes and performance upgrades, but kept the interior almost intact. Everything is almost identical to the original F-150 truck, with some new details such as the Hennessey embroidered headrests and serial-numbered dashboard. All the equipment is still present, including Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system with voice recognition, and separate TFT driver info screen, positioned behind the steering wheel, dual zone climate, etc.
Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 Performance Upgrade
What’s probably the most important about the 2016 Ford F-150 Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 is its performance upgrade. The truck is powered by a supercharged 5.0L V-8 engine that can produce 650 horsepower @ 5,700 rpm, paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This power allows it to run from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Other upgrades include: HPE engine management calibration, high-flow air induction and fuel injectors, air-to-water intercooler, stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, chassis dyno tuning & road testing.
2016 Ford F-150 VelociRaptor 650 by Hennessey Price
Unfortunately, Hennessey didn’t release the price for its modification of the 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck. The base model costs between $26,615 and $32,830, and with all the upgrades the price could go up to $50,000. After all the upgrades and body changes, the 2016 Hennessey VelociRaptor 650 could reach the final price of about $70,000. If you decide to update your truck, it sure won’t be cheap, but you will get a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty. You can also wait for the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.
