The 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, as the successor of the Italia 458. The engineers at Ferrari replaced a 4.5-liter with a turbo V-8 making the 488 GTB finally more efficient and greener.
Exterior and Interior Design
This new Italian supercar comes with new dimensions and it is much lighter, using carbon fiber and steel. The model also gets an efficiency score of 1.67 and thanks to that, Ferrari made a new record. Luxury interior, refreshed exterior and a more powerful drivetrain with improved performance, fuel economy and reduced emissions, all of these, make this new supercar a real Italian stud. Exterior wise, the main changes on the 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB are its dimension and weight. The body design was improved to increase downforce to the car. Also, the aerodynamic coefficient achieved a high score of 1.67, so the company attained a new record. This model achieves 50 percent more downforce with this new design and the replacing parts made from carbon fiber and steel. The weight is 1.370 kg and it is lighter than the 458. The body dimensions are: 179.84 inches long, 47.75 inches high and 76.85 inches wide. So, this made this model a 1.6 inches longer and 0.6 inches wider than the Ferrari 458. Also, this supercar will come with 20-inch alloy wheels.
When it comes to the interior of the 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB, the company’s goal was to put inside of their new model both sportiness and luxury, but to be cleaner and simpler than its predecessor. So, to accomplish that, the company redesigned the dashboard ditching a numerous buttons from it which were distracting the driver. Also, the dashboard looks more classy made in two colors – black over red. The steering wheel has three-spoke, providing the driver a real track racing feeling, while the stitching in the cabin gives overall an amazing look. Under the hood of the 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB will be a 3.9L supercharged 90-degree V-8 engine. This unit can deliver 660 horses and 561 pound-feet of torque. With such a unit this model is a very powerful Italian supercar. It is currently the 2nd fastest Ferrari with achievement from 0-to-60 mph time in just 3 seconds, and from 0-to-124 mph time in 8.3 seconds, making it 1.2 seconds quicker than the 458. The maximum speed is also increased from 199 mph to 205 mph (about 330 km/h) thanks to the new engine and aerodynamic improvements. For such impressive figures, along with a turbo mill, credits also goes to updated gearbox and revised gear rations. The paddle shifters are placed behind the steering wheel, so the driver can easily shift the gears. Furthermore, the engine will mate with a seven-speed gearbox, and the model will probably consume 11.4-liter per 100 km.

This amazing supercar was officially presented at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March, and the company unveiled the price tag. The 2016 Ferrari 488 GTB is priced around $275,000.
