The 2016 Audi S6 is an upgraded variant of a popular sports sedan that will be presented at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Here are the latest details on the upcoming model.
Exterior and Interior Design
When it comes to its design, the 2016 Audi S6 will be quite similar to the current generation model. The automaker stated that it won’t be changing the sedan’s size, however its shape will be slightly modified. Its front and rear fascias are going to be updated with new LED headlights and taillights, and both bumpers will receive minor facelift. The car will also get the new sport exhaust system with attractive exhaust tips painted in black.
Interior of the 2016 Audi S6 also visually remains unchanged, compared to the current model. However, the automaker will offer more color options, carbon-fiber trims with red threads, and new finishes on the front seats. Optional equipment include a massage function on the front seats. An 8-inch infotainment display with Audi connect and GPS navigation will also be available.
Engine and Performance
This is where things get interesting. The 2016 Audi S6 will come with an upgraded 4.0L turbocharged V-8 engine that can now deliver 450 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an 8-speed S Tronic auto gearbox and Quattro all-wheel-drive system, this power unit will allow the car to accelerate to the speed of 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. Top speed is 155 mph.
