The 2015 Subaru Outback wagon model will make its world debut at the international 2014 New York Auto Show, which will take place from April 18-27.
Design of 2015 Subaru Outback
There is just one teaser photo released so far (photo below), but it looks like the new 2015 Subaru Outback wagon will be completely refreshed and redesigned. It seems to me that it will be partly based on the 2015 Subaru Legacy sedan, that was unveiled to the world at the Auto Show in Chicago.
The new Outback features almost the same front end, with hexagonal front grille and sharp headlights that remind me on eagle’s eyes. It also has the same sculpted hood and side-view mirrors with integrated turn signals.
Of course, the back end of the wagon will be different and much broader, and therefore the vehicle will have more room for stuff and passengers that a sedan model.
It’s hard to say anything else because the image does not reveal much detail, so we have to wait for the end of the month to find out more details about exterior, as well as interior styling.
Engine and Specs
There are no details on the engine range and performance of the 2015 Subaru Outback. Let’s assume that specs will be similar to those of the Legacy. That model is powered by 2.5-liter I-4 engine producing 175 hp and 174 lb-ft, while the second choice include 3.6-liter V-6 engine that can generate 256 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, visitors of the 2014 NY Auto Show will be able to see the 2015 Subaru Outback station wagon in person starting on April 18th. It will probably go on sale by the end of this year.
