The 2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II is a car designed for business people and those from the upper classes. It was officially unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

I already wrote about this vehicle, when the first teaser was posted online. Now it is officially launched, so we know what we can expect from this limousine.

2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II Performance

First, I am going to mention a few details about its performance. The 2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II model will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.6-liter V-12 engine that can produce a total of 562 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque.

It will send its power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed satellite-aided automatic transmission. One of the most interesting features of this gearbox is that it is connected with a GPS navigation system and uses it to adapt the shift to the driving conditions (type of road, weather).

According to the manufacturer, this vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, which is an excellent result, given the massiveness of this sedan. The maximum speed is limited to 155 mph.

As for the fuel economy, this Ghost is EPA rated at 19 mpg in a city, 29 mpg on a highway, and 20 mpg combined.

Exterior Design of the New Rolls-Royce

Most of the changes compared to the previous models are on the front end of the car. The 2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II now has a larger air intake that extends through the entire length of the bumper and a chrome-finished grille. Also revised are the new high beam headlights surrounded with brighter LED daytime running lights.

The hood is slightly changed, with the addition of wake channel that extends from the Spirit of Ecstasy, Rolls-Royce mascot, to the windshield.

The sedan rides on the standard 19-inch five-spoke wheels, but customers can also choose the optional 21-inch aluminum wheels. Also optional is a stainless-steel fuel-filler cap, although I do not see the need for the cap to be changed.

Notable on the back of the sedan are the LED taillights and two flat exhaust pipes.

Ghost Series II Luxury Interior

Given that this is a luxury model, it is expected that interior is no less luxurious. The cabin of the 2015 Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II features the redesigned front seats which can be adjusted electronically in a position that is convenient for you, to help you be as comfortable as possible.

The rear seats are no less comfortable. These seats can be rotated slightly toward each other, enabling business people to communicate and conduct business more easily. The seats also feature heating and electronic massagers. The Extended Wheelbase model features even more legroom. Additional 17 cm of legroom will come in handy for better comfort and relaxation.

The dashboard is covered with soft-touch materials in a combination with either Paldao or Walnut Burr Crossband wooden trims. In the middle is a large 10.25-inch touchscreen display, and next to it is an analog clock. The screen can be used to show navigation directions and for activation of multimedia system. There is a possibility that all the information on the screen to controlled by a new rotary controller with touchpad, that can be found on the center console.

Other technological features include a voice-controlled navigation, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection, access to your contacts, e-mail and file sharing, Bespoke Audio system with 18 individually-tuned speakers, video-conferencing, television, phone sync, USB port, 20.5 GB hard drive, multi-function steering wheel, etc. Passengers in the back seat have a separate center console to control all of these functions and activate the rear theatre system.
