The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake has been spotted on the road wearing no camouflage. Unfortunately, there are only spy shots of the car’s rear end. But we do have some rendering photos of the car’s front end.
Design of 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake
Those people who like to travel, so they need more space for their luggage, but also looking for a car with a remarkable performance, might find this model very attractive. It has been spotted at the German Autobahn, but unfortunately, photographer didn’t manage to capture its front end. The rear end looks quite similar to the CLS wagon model, but still has some of its own design cues. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake, also known as the X117, has different taillights, remodeled rear bumper and a pair of flat exhaust tips.
Engine and Performance
It looks like the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be powered by the same engine lineup as the CLA250 standard model. That includes a 2.0L four-cylinder unit producing 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, or the same engine that can be found under the CLA45 AMG’s hood; a 2.0-liter turbo I-4 that can produce 355 hp and 332 lb-ft of twist. It is also possible that some 1.8-litre diesel units will be available as well. We will know more details in the upcoming months.
CLA Shooting Brake Release Date
Given that a non-camouflaged version has been tested in public, it is almost certain that the automaker has a production-ready model. According to some sources, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be making officially unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show in January. Soon after that, the model is going to hit European retail stores for an unknown price tag. In Australia, it is expected to go on sale by the end of 2015. As for the North American release date, currently there are no any details.
Below, you can see two artist’s rendering photos. They look so real, and there is a high probability that the car’s front end will really look like this.
