A lot of people desire the new Ford Bronco, which seems not to appear any time soon, but the 2015 Ford Troller T4 might be a good replacement for this SUV. It was unveiled by Ford‘s Brazilian branch and it will be built in Brazil. If you want to learn more details about the new Troller T4, keep reading this review. Also, at the very end of the article you can check out the brand new Off-Road Rescue Concept that will be presented at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show.
The new 2015 Ford Troller T4 SUV is mostly based on the 2012 Troller TR-X Concept, which was presented two years ago at the Auto Show in Sao Paulo. This Jeep-like model can also be regarded as the reborn 2015 Ford Bronco. As you can see from the photo above, it does resemble the 2004 Concept model. What has been changed is a more modern look of its exterior. The SUV features the new round headlights and smaller fog lamps, between them you can see the engraved Troller inscription. On the back there are LED taillights, which look kinda aggressive, and between them there is a spare wheel, mounted on the tailgate.
Speaking of the wheels, the 2015 Ford Troller T4 rides on the 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, which further points out the rugged look of this model. It has a wide fenders, which are integrated into the SUV‘s body. One interesting thing about its body is that it is constructed of fiberglass. Other exterior features worth mentioning are the wide doors with sills, swaybars that can be removed, wide hood, large air intakes, London Grey body color scheme, and an apparent lack of Ford badging. There is also a word that the vehicle will come with glass panes on the roof, allowing light to reach inside. The Ford Bronco Concept had this kind of roof. You can see some new exterior design pictures at the end of this article.
Interior Styling, Equipment
The cabin of the 2015 Ford Troller T4 4×4 has yet to be unveiled. Until then, you have the chance to see the interior of the older model in the photo below. As you can see, the older interior does not feature any modern technologies. The steering wheel is plain, without any control buttons. Behind it, there is an analog instrument cluster. In the center area of the dashboard there are two air vents. Air conditioning can be activated via a rotary knob below. There is also a knob for activation of 4WD system. Let’s just hope that the Troller T4 will feature more modern cabin with a bunch of new technologies, such as digital gauges, touchscreen display, multifunctional steering wheel, digital radio, etc. Most of the interior details, such as the dashboard, steering wheel and transmission lever will be similar to those that can be found in the Ford Ranger.
Exclusive photos of the interior and dashboard have been added to the photo gallery at the end of this article.
Engine, Specs, Performance
Ford did not revealed many details on the engine that will be powering the new Troller T4 2015. All we know is that it will come with a 3.2-liter diesel engine that will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. No output numbers were given, nor fuel economy rating.
Update: New detail emerged, claiming that the engine might be the Powerstroke inline-5 unit, that can produce 197 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque. Other source claims that this turbodiesel engine can deliver 185 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. This are just rumors, so take it with grain of salt.
New Troller T4 Release Date, Price
This SUV will be built in Brazil and will be released on this market. It should go on sale by the end of this year, if everything goes according to plan. Will this “new Ford Bronco” ever be released in the North America? Well, nobody is sure if it will come to the United States. So, you should probably go to Brazil to buy your own model and import it in the U.S. The exact price has not been mentioned, however we can expect a slighter increase in pricing as compared to the current model, which costs about 96,844 Brazilian reals. Convert it into U.S. dollars, and it is about $46,200.

2015 Ford Troller T4 Off-Road Rescue Concept
The Brazilian division recently announced that they will bring the new 2015 Ford Troller T4 Off-Road Rescue Concept at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show. This new model looks great, it has a new set of bumpers, new LED spot lights integrated in the front bumper, as well as a winch positioned above it. It also comes with new 17-inch wheels wrapped in the knobbier high profile off-road tires. The body is painted in bronze and tan color combination, and I must say it fits perfectly.
The interior also received an upgrade, now it looks more modern. The cabin also features bronze accents in a combination with dark grey hues. The Troller finally received a color touch display and infotainment system, replacing a simple radio. Instrument cluster has been updated.
The SUV also gets a snorkel for a 3.2-liter I-5 engine, new suspension system with high-performance shock absorbers, and rescue gear. Engine output figures remain unchanged.
