The 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion is a small hatchback customized by Mopar. It will be showcased at the 2014 SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas this November.
2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion Design
When it comes to the exterior design, the 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion is not much different compared to the original model. Body is painted in a combination of white and red, and there is a large scorpion stretching across the front end and hood. The hatchback rides on the new forged aluminum wheels painted in black. Mopar also added new satin black exhaust tips, a set of new fog lights surrounded by red accents and smoky taillights, revised carbon mirror caps, and chrome-trimmed badges with a satin finish.
Interior Styling Changes
The tuner didn’t provide us with any photos of the car’s interior, but we do have some details. In the photo below you can see the dashboard of the production model. The 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion still has the redesigned instrument panel and center console. The only difference is that this new interior received the same red and white color treatment found on the outside. Katzkin leather seats are painted in red (check out the driver’s headrest in the photo above), so I presume that the dashboard is all white. What I know for sure is that Mopar Custom Shop will offer this custom interior for their customers.
Engine and Performance
It looks like the new 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion didn’t receive any engine upgrades. The production model is powered by a turbocharged 1.4L MultiAir I-4 engine producing 160 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. It is paired either with a standard 5-speed manual, or optional Aisin 6-speed automatic gearbox. The car’s top speed is 129 mph and it can reach the speed of 60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds.
Just like many modified and tuned up vehicles, the 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth Scorpion will be making its public appearance at the 2014 Las Vegas SEMA Show in the first week of November.
