The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country HD 2500HD and 3500HD went on sale last summer. Those are some of the best pickup truck on the market, being Chevy’s first serious competitors against the 2015 Ford Super Duty King Ranch and 2015 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. You can get the base 2500HD model for the starting price of $32,630, while the 3500HD starts at $33,730.

Exterior and Interior Design, Colors

The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country HD is available in both the 2500HD and 3500HD Cabin Crew models and with an option of either the 2WD or 4WD variants, commonly referred to as the all-wheel-drive. The 3500HD model is available in either of these configurations, with the goose-neck hauling, and does up to 19,600 pounds in conventional towing. Its standard features are; a chrome grille, which has horizontal bars, new design of both rear and the front bumpers with similar color to that of the body. All models have chromed 6-inch tubular step assists, and High Country logos on the doors, sill plates, and on tailgate. The Chevy 2500HD model gets its own unique 20-inch chrome wheels. The single rear-wheel 3500HD has the 18-inch wheels and on the other hand the dual rear wheel model of the 2015 Country Man comes with a set of 17-inch polished aluminum forged wheels. Available body colors include: Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Slate Grey Metallic, Black, Tungsten Metallic, Brownstone Metallic, Victory Red, Deep Ruby Metallic, and for additional $495 you can get Deep Ocean Blue and Rainforest Green paints.

The cabin of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country HD entails plush saddle brown leather interior that includes the standard electric heated/cooled and ventilated bucket seat feature, front and rear parking assists, the Bose audio system, and the MyLink infotainment with touch display. Other options include a navigation system, sunroof and rear seat entertainment system complete with a DVD/BluRay Player, and some models have LTE and Wi-Fi. The High Country Man Premium Package is available with an electric heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals and a driver-alert package. Interior color options include: Dark Ash, Jet Black and Cocoa/Dune cloth, as well as Dark Ash leather with Jet Black accents. Also, the Chevrolet up-level trailer mirrors will also be available as optional features. These chrome-clapped mirrors will manually extend in the case of wider trailers and will feature memory and power adjusts and power fold. They are designed to make it easy when backing or reversing to lock with a trailer.


Engine Range, Specs, Performance

The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country HD pickup truck is available with a choice of three engine options. A 6.0-liter petrol engine with 8 cylinders can produce 360 horsepower on 2500HD or 322 hp on 3500HD and 380 pound-feet of torque on both variants. A 6.0L bi-fuel V-8 is able to to switch from gasoline to compressed natural gas, and delivers either 301 or 333 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of twist. These powertrains are paired with a 6-speed auto Hydra-Matic gearbox. The most powerful is a 6.6L turbodiesel DuraMax V-8 engine producing up to 397 horsepower and a total of 765 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic Allison transmission.


Chevy Silverado High Country HD Price

There are so many variants of the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country HD truck. It is available in Regular Cab, Dual Cab and Crew Cab variants, with standard and long boxes, in 2WD and 4WD configurations. I won’t go into all the details. All you should know is that the 2500HD has a starting price of $32,630 and it goes up to $49,670, while the 3500HD starts at $33,730 and goes up to $55,275. 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight Edition

The Midnight Special Edition adds some additional details on the truck’s body, all painted in black, a set of 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, Z71 badges, etc. It was presented at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show and 5,000 units will be produced.
