The 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco is a new hatchback model offered for the European markets. Here are few details about its design, performance and pricing list.
2014 Volkswagen Scirocco Design
This new VW model has been slightly refreshed with a new body design. It has a small front grille, wide hood, new bi-xenon headlights, aerodynamic blades on the bumper, next to the small fog lights, and large air inlet that takes the most of the lower area. There are also small LED contour daytime running lights below the xenon lamps. Viewed from the front, it really looks aggressive. Because of the small grille, the VW logo can be found on the hood.
The 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco is similar to the new Golf. Viewed from the side both models share similar design language. On the photos, you will notice the dents on the doors, it is such a nice detail. The car on these photos rides on the standard 17-inch alloy wheels, but I’ve heard that there will be available a few different types of 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheels.
On the back, there are trapezoidal LED taillights. The car features the new hatch design. It has a small wing spoiler on the top of a tailgate, which is opened by pressing the VW badge on the back. Down below, there is a new diffuser with a pair of exhaust pipes on the left side.
The interior of the new VW Scirocco has not been much changed, compared to the earlier models. There are sports leather seats, that looks really comfy. Behind the front seats, there is a new storage compartment.
The first thing you will notice is a 6.5-inch touchscreen that driver can use to display different information, to activate radio and audio player, to use GPS navigation, to connect their phone, and to activate air conditioning. Above the screen, there are new auxiliary instruments, showing boost pressure, oil temp, and the third gauge is a small chronometer.
The steering wheel can also be used for controlling the audio player and radio. It is wrapped in leather. Behind it, you can see big speedometer and tachometer, and a small display that shows additional information.
