The 2014 Pontiac Firebird Resto Mod is a modernized and restyled version of the classic model released in 1970. Restoration was done by All Speed Customs, and I must admit, they did a pretty good job. Feel free to take a look at this new model.
Exterior and Interior Design
Just like the guys over at Trans Am Depot, All Speed Customs, owned by Tom Cronkright, also did a great job with this muscle car. On the first sight, the 2014 Pontiac Firebird Resto Mod looks like the classic 1970 Firebird. However, it is characterized by a brand-new front splitter and diffuser integrated in both bumpers, new side skirts, as well as unique front grille and hood. The car is painted in black and rides on a set of gloss-black five-spoke wheels by Forgiato Ritorno, wrapped in performance tires.
Interior of the 2014 Pontiac Firebird Resto Mod also received a facelift. Cabin is also painted in black, to match the exterior color. There are two sports seats with safety harnesses in the front and standard bench in the back. All seats are wrapped in black leather with white stitching. The dashboard, covered with aluminum plate, kept its classic look, but it comes with a modern climate control, Trans Am analog gauges, and new stereo audio and multimedia systems. Other features include power windows, unique floor mats, billet door handles, keyless ignition, and revised center console.
Engine, Specs, Performance
Under its hood, the 2014 Pontiac Firebird Resto Mod has an upgraded twin-turbocharged 7.8-liter V-8 engine delivering an astounding 1200 horsepower. This power unit is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. All Speed Customs also provided better intercooler, tuned suspension, stainless-steel headers and manifolds, as well as new pipes and valves.

Pontiac Firebird TT Black Edition Concept
For the end, check out this interesting concept designed by Kasim Tlibekov, which was based on the 1969 model. He named it 2012 Pontiac Firebird TT Black Edition Concept. Tlibekov’s model is characterized by kind of futuristic design, it is wider and has an aggressive splitter on the front and diffuser on the back, three exhaust tips on each side, integrated into side skirts, big duck tail spoiler under which you can see dotted stop lights, and tinted windows. The concept is painted all in black with the exception of two red stripes. Tlibekov imagined this model to be powered with a 650-horsepower 5.8-liter V8 engine. Check out the rendering photos below.
