2014 Morgan Plus 4 Classic Design

front view

As you can see on these photos, the 2014 Morgan Plus 4 has everything that classic cars from ’40s had — the extended bonnet, classic grille, two large round headlights, and arches above the front and rear wheels.

The car comes with a cabriolet roofing system and is readily available with a huge array of alternatives consisting of different road wheel designs, travel luggage racks, and a large range of additional features.

Here are some of the additional features: front and rear bumpers, tread rubbers, superior or deluxe hood with bonnet strap, spare wheel and hood covers, mesh grille, several color options, etc.

Old School Interior Styling

Although it is characterized by a retro design, the cabin has a new dashboard and instrument panel. There are two model, one with two seats and second with four seats. All seats are wrapped in leather upholstery (two color options: black and tan brown).

In the center area of the dashboard there are two big gauges, and one small. Two smaller gauges can also be found behind the classic steering wheel. If you prefer, for additional money you can get leather dashboard that matches interior leather.

Additional equipment include air conditioning, radio and CD player with front and rear speakers, performance seats, embroidered head rests, additional lighting, power steering wheel, push button start, clock, sun visors, elasticated door pockets, etc. All of these additions will make the car’s interior a little more modern.

Modern Engine and Performance

When it comes to performance, the 2014 Morgan Plus 4 is powered by a modern 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ford GDI 1999cc engine that is able to develop 154 horsepower (115 kw) and 148 lb-ft of torque (201 Nm). It is mated to Mazda’s 5-speed manual transmission.

This old school vehicle can accelerate to 62 mph (~100 km/h) in 7.5 seconds. It’s maximum speed is limited to 118 mph (~190 km/h).

Also worth mentioning is that it consumes 9.8 liters per 100 km in urban areas. It’s average rating on the European cycle is: 29 mpg in the city, 51 mpg on the highway, and 40 mpg combined.

The performance is an especially excellent combination of responsive acceleration and fuel economy. The car is a sure footed partner on any journey. With its even circulation of weight the vehicle is easy to drive and provides receptive handling.
