The new 2014 Hyundai Azera is a luxury vehicle meant for those people who like big and comfy sedans. If you are having second thoughts whether to buy this car, maybe this review will help you decide.
Design of 2014 Hyundai Azera
First, we are going to say something about its exterior and interior styling. You can see how the car looks like from the front on the image below. It really has that luxurious look.
Viewed from the front, the car looks really nice and elegant with its slotted chrome grille, automatic headlights front fog lights, and low front splitter.
If you look closely, there is a side crease that runs from the headlamps, through the door below heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and all the way to the rear lights. Also, a second hip-line runs above the rear door handles through the back.
The rear of the sedan is clean, with elegant LED taillights and two integrated exhaust tips on the bottom. The car drives on the 19-inch alloy wheels.
Interior and Equipment
For the cabin of the 2014 Hyundai Azera, designers used soft-touch, good-quality materials. There’s plenty of space, especially in the back. Front leather seats come with integrated temperature control.
On the center console, there is a 6-inch LED touchscreen display, with integrated rearview camera. The car is also equipped with keyless entry, push-button start, climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and stick-shifter, blind-spot mirror, HD radio and audio system, Bluetooth connection, USB and auxiliary jacks.
There is also a choice of a panoramic roof, that will provide the cabin with plenty of light, while keeping UV rays out. On the back, there are power rear sunshade and manual side-window sunshades. These features are optional.
Performance and Fuel Economy
All 2014 Hyundai Azera models are powered by a 3.3-liter six-cylinder V-6 engine with the direct fuel injection system. It can develop 293 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual control.
As for fuel consumption, the car is rated at 19 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, 23 mpg combined. Nothing special, but still not a bad fuel economy compared to some similar models and competitors.
2014 Hyundai Azera Price
Potential customers are able to choose among two different trim levels of the new 2014 Hyundai Azera — the base model and the Limited model. The car is already available for sale.
The starting recommended price of the base model is equal 31 thousand dollars, which is lower compared to the last year’s model. For those buyers who decide to buy the Limited version, they must be prepared to set aside $34,750 dollars. All those costs didn’t include additional fees.
