Ford’s new range of pickup trucks, the 2014 Ford F-Series Super Duty line, includes models 2014 Ford F-250, F-350 and F-450. All of them will feature an improved performance and minor design changes. First, to say something about engine range and specs.

Engine and Performance

The 2014 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks will come with powerful powertrains. Not surprising, considering that these terrain vehicles are intended for the transport of heavy goods.

The 2014 Ford F-250 and F-350 will be powered by a 6.2-liter eight-cylinder flex-fuel V-8 engine that could develop 385 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. Vehicles using this drivetrain will be able to reach a speed of 60 mph in just 10 seconds. Max speed is about 120 mph.

There is also an optional 6.7-liter eight-cylinder diesel V-8 engine that could develop 400 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque. Models with this engine will be able to reach a speed of 60 mph in about 9 seconds. This same engine will power the 2014 Ford F-450 pickup truck, but it will came as standard for this model.

All powertrains will be mated to a TorqShift heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift.

Unfortunately, there will be no major changes in the exterior design, because the automaker wanted to bring new changes in the form of better performance. So, you can expect the same external appearance as in the current model.

The 2014 Ford F-Series Super Duty comes in several trim levels: Regular Cab with 8-foot bed, SuperCab and CrewCab with both 6.75-foot and 8-foot beds.

Interior and Accessories

The model line’s interior also remains unchanged. The dashboard and center console have a familiar look. The cabin is made of a combination of leather and plastic materials, which gives it somewhat luxurious feel. It is very spacious and there is enough room for even taller passengers. Nice addition are the cup holders in the center area.
