The 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka covers nearly everything a customer would want from a pickup truck, but its emphasis is mainly on its price. It is quite bigger than the usual Ford trucks. This new model was made in collaboration with Indiana-based Tuscany Motor Company, and it is now selling in selected distributors, since its release in February 2014, giving the market the chance to drive this pickup truck that was off the market for many years.

Exterior and Interior Design

This pickup truck has a raised physical body and a more serious and aggressive appearance. Its height it is increased, making it look even tougher for off-road purposes and bringing new meaning to vehicle ups and with its elevated height makes it ideal for field use. Its increased carrying capacity also adds points to this vehicle. The 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka SuperCrew Cab comes fitted with wider fender flares, but gets to maintain its generic appearance. Its wider 3-bar grille with billet inserts gives its front a new look and enhances this truck’s ions and design about its practical air flow side. The hood features two air intakes that, with the help of the fender vents, improve air flow and provide better engine cooling. On the back, noticeable are the dual exhaust pipes made of stainless steel.

The truck also features superior 6-inch suspension for specific difficulty performance and has specialized off-road 20-inch tires wrapped in the BFGoodrich 325-60 all-terrain tires. These tires and wheels lift this vehicle even more above the ground. Additionally, step up bars and cladding have been added to it and this gives the body a much wider look. The 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka is widely recognizable with its standard yellow vinyl which gives it a general real attraction worldwide. Everything is covered in this paint, from the front to the rear, as you can see from the photos. The interior pretty much remains the same as that of the regular models.

Engine, Specs, Performance

Under the hood, the 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka is powered by a 5.0l FFT engine with eight cylinders (V-8), delivering up to 360 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. This power unit is paired with an electronic 6-speed automatic transmission that also supports haul and towing modes. It also features the W/Driver selectable mode, HD oil cooler and SelectShift sequential shift control, an automatic full-time (4WD) or AWD system, and has a 36 gallon fuel tank.

Safety Options

For its safety options this truck comes equipped with; advanced track with roll stability control, (ESC) electronic stability control and the (RSC) roll stability control, rear child safety locks, driveline traction control, low tire warning system, dual stage driver and passenger front and seat mounted side airbags, and on board shoulder and lap safety belts, among others.

2014 Ford F-150 Tonka Price

Having been released in the month of February, the 2014 Ford F-150 Tonka Edition has experienced great sales each month since its release and is viewed as one of the best performing pickup trucks. The price of the original F-150 truck is $50,078, and including all the improvements and additional equipment, this limited edition model (there are only 500 units) can be bought for the price of $72,360.
